Govt. Polytechnic Chopta, Rudraprayag was established by Government of Uttarakhand in 2008 for Diploma course in CIVIL ENGINEERING Keeping in view the vast progress in the field of industrialization in this state, Polytechnics have to redefine themselves and come with shoulder to shoulder status with the industries. We are trying to develop human resource with same pace as industrial growth is going on. The Institute is situated at Govt. Polytechnic Chopta, Rudraprayag is approved by AICTE and Affiliated to Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education Roorkee (UBTER). Our aim is not only to pursue academic excellent but also motivate and empower the talent skills and ability to each student need to be identified and encouraged so that our student is able to reach at great heights. Our unique supportive system will provide access to academic mentoring career counseling hand on experience at organization. Govt. Polytechnic Chopta, Rudraprayag campus provides unparalled opportunity for students. A wealth of resources and support services help students get the most out of their time at Govt. Polytechnic Chopta, Rudraprayag. From well equipped libraries to innovative Workshop and Laboratory, students have access to many tools to explore academic and practical interests.
Would like to take this opportunity to share our vision for the budding Engineers of our Institute. From the very beginning, our approach has been to groom and create Engineering professionals who are sensitive to the needs of the Society and can apply their technical knowledge to fill this gap in a sustainable, ethical and humane way. Talents too are constantly developed through sports and varied co-curricular activities. While academic excellence is our major thrust, the College is also devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant. We constantly endeavour to always live up to this ideology and inculcate this into everything we do, with the aim that we will be able to ensure that the students grow to their full potential. I believe that having quality, inspirational and passionate teachers is essential to a Institute’s success.

At the Government Polytechnic Chopta we are running Diploma in Civil Engineering Branch Approved by AICTE New Delhi and recognized by UBTER, Govt. of Uttarkhand since 2017. Civil engineering is a broad field encompassing the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment. It addresses infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, and waste management. Civil engineers apply scientific and engineering principles to solve real-world problems related to public and private infrastructure, ensuring safety, sustainability, and functionality.
